Rainbow Warriors - The Mission
Chief Mel Standing Eagle is a Peace Chief in South Carolina, associated with the Beaver Creek Tribe. His work has expanded his sphere of influence to inclusion with the Warriors of the Rainbow tribe. He was anointed by the Grandmothers to continue the work of Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf which brings tribal elders and others together to restore Indigenous Tribal Unity, as well as to bring healing for the Earth's environment.
"Warriors of the Rainbow"
The term "Warriors of the Rainbow". The "tribe" associated with Chief Mel Standing Eagle is a global group that embodies the American Indian prophetic message of unity and environmental action.
The Legend and its Origins
The core of the "Warriors of the Rainbow" message is an environmental and spiritual prophecy that speaks of a time of crisis on Earth, during which people of all races and backgrounds will come together in honesty, to heal the planet.
- The Prophecy: The legend states that when the Earth is ravaged by pollution and destruction, a "new tribe of people" of many colors and creeds will emerge. These Rainbow Warriors will be united by their actions and shared respect for Mother Earth, working to restore harmony and balance, as it was designed by Creator.
- Cultural Context: The "Rainbow Warriors" are attributed to prophecies from various Native American tribes like the Hopi, Cree, Navajo, or Lakota,.
Chief Mel Standing Eagle's Association
Chief Mel Standing Eagle and global followers use the name "Warriors of the Rainbow" or “Rainbow Warriors”, to describe their movement, which aims to fulfill the spirit of the prophecy by uniting first people for environmental healing.
- Mission: Their mission, as described by Chief Standing Eagle, is to bring together tribal elders and people from all walks of life to address modern environmental and health issues, such as food quality, pollution, and natural farming methods.
- Focus: The emphasis is on unity, shared responsibility for the Earth, and drawing on "ancient tribal customs" and wisdom to guide modern solutions.
- Recognition: Chief Standing Eagle is a Peace Chief, encouraged by Grandmothers to share his story and mission.
In essence, the "Warriors of the Rainbow" is less a specific, ancient indigenous tribe and more a global, inclusive movement or a "new tribe of people" united by a shared vision of environmental stewardship and global harmony.
