A SOUL MATE MYTH
Evelyn Rice
One of the myths about Soul Mates is "If I find my Soul Mate,
all my relationship challenges will dissolve." If you're looking
for a relationship that will solve all your problems, you're
inevitably going to be disappointed. The Soul Mate relationship
is not about perfection. No one is perfect.
This myth of the perfect relationship has contributed to many a
person's frustration and loss of hope in relationships. Even if
we have a potentially great relationship that we feel was
destined to be, when we don't understand the physical, mental,
and emotional components that drive us, we are like ships
without rudders or airplanes without navigators. We can
unwittingly
sabotage a potentially healthy and satisfying Soul Mate
relationship.
If we are to achieve and maintain a living connection with our
intimate partner, it is imperative that we free ourselves from
wishful, unrealistic fantasies. We can take the personal
blinders from our eyes and develop the
full range of our abilities, sensitivities, powers, and depths
as human beings. Taking off those blinders reveals our potential
and also our fears
and weaknesses. Overcoming these fears and weaknesses is hard
work. It requires a strong commitment.
Like the Soul Mate relationship itself, commitment doesn't just
happen. The source of commitment is courage. Without courage, we
are likely to turn away from our fears. By ignoring the
disappointments, the anger, and the hurt that are in our past,
we allow them to dictate and destroy our relationships. We allow
them to keep us from our Soul Mates.
Courage allows us to make the commitment. The commitment allows
us to make conscious choices. The conscious choices allow us to
overcome the problems that have sabotaged past relationships.
Together, they can move us to take the step the frightening,
thrilling step to seek out and attract a Soul Mate relationship.

Slender lifeline
Bracelet helps Alzheimer's sufferers get home safely
By Scott Craven
The Arizona Republic
March 21, 2002 12:00:00
Sunny Johnston would have ignored the elderly man knocking at her door, a
stranger insisting he wanted to chat with his old friend. The Phoenix woman
would have turned her back as soon as she shooed him away, peeking out the
front window to make sure of one thing: that he disappeared. But
Johnston noticed his walk, the same shuffling gait of her grandmother, who,
just months before, had wandered away from her Utah care home and frozen to
death. She knew the man had Alzheimer's disease. She unlocked her door and,
like an old friend, caught up with him. He was one of the lucky ones. Each
year in the United States, thousands of people with Alzheimer's wander from
home, many becoming stranded and suffering serious or even fatal injuries.
Recognizing that such tragedies are avoidable, the Alzheimer's Association
instituted the Safe Return program in which participants wear identification
bracelets that can help get them home quickly. The slender bracelet
around the wrist of 81-year-old Mary Benjamin is one of the best gifts her
husband, Bill, ever gave himself. It identifies her as someone who is
memory-impaired, listing a toll-free hotline to call if she's found
wandering. Read the bracelet's ID number to the operator and Mary's name
will be revealed, as well as how to contact her husband to make sure she
gets back to their Phoenix home safely. The $40 registration fee has
paid for itself in terms of peace of mind, Bill Benjamin says. His wife has
been a frequent wanderer, but knowing she can be identified and returned
home with one phone call is a comfort. "She's a lot faster than she
looks," he says. "Her mind is gone, but she's in great physical health. I
lock the front door and always keep an eye on her, but I can't turn my back
on her for a second. "In the three years Mary has worn the bracelet,
it's been used once when police picked her up just a few blocks from home,
returning her minutes after Bill reported her missing. Should it happen
again, he can call the same Safe Return hotline, which will immediately
report it to local law enforcement agencies, faxing them her description and
photo. The local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association also is notified,
enlisting the help of a counselor or caseworker if the reporting family
needs support. Unfortunately, enrollment in Safe Return remains low because
people are either unaware of the program or hesitant to admit that they or
loved ones suffer from the insidious memory-robbing disease, says John
Durbin, Safe Return coordinator for Arizona. There are about 4 million
people in the United States diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and seven of 10
sufferers on average are known to wander, Durbin says. As America ages, the
problem will worsen because 14.5 million Alzheimer's sufferers are expected
by 2050, says John Guagliardo of the national Alzheimer's Association. He
says that since 1993, more than 81,000 people nationally have registered for
the program and nearly 100 percent of participants who've been reported
missing (nearly 7,000 people) had been safely returned. Despite the success,
Durbin says, of the 85,000 Arizona residents diagnosed with the disease,
just 2,600 are registered with Safe Return. The stigma of such a
debilitating disease, which steals from the mind rather than the body,
prevents people from seeking a proper diagnosis, Durbin says. "Many people
in the early stages of Alzheimer's are in denial," he says. "To register for
the program is a signal something is wrong, and they can't deal with that."
Johnston is not sure Safe Return would have saved her 76-year-old
grandmother who wandered away from a Park City nursing home on New Year's
Eve 2000. Dressed only in a nightgown in below-zero temperatures, the
elderly woman died of exposure. The incident heightened Johnston's
awareness of the problem so that when the elderly stranger knocked on her
door a few months later, she soon saw that he was more than confused. She
walked him around the block, hoping a family member might be looking for
him. As she was approaching her front door, planning to call police, the
man's wife pulled up in a truck. The only alternative for most people
trying to help a wayward Alzheimer's sufferer is to call the police.
Officers likely would have taken the man to the nearest precinct and waited
for someone to report him missing, Durbin says. He says most wanderers
reported to police are taken to the precinct or to the emergency room
depending upon their health. "It's a scary experience," Durbin says. "They
have no idea where they are or who anybody is. They don't feel safe. "That's
why the Alzheimer's Association is studying ways to have wanderers taken to
nearby elder-care facilities while families are being notified, says
Kathleen Pagels, director of public policy for the Arizona chapter of the
Alzheimer's Association. Unfortunately, care homes are prohibited from
taking in people until certain medical tests are administered. "We're
working on overcoming those obstacles," Pagels says. "That's why a program
like Safe Return is so important. We want people to get home as quickly as
possible."
For those of
you that didn't know---there was an article featured in Thursdays Arizona
Republic, in the living section, about Alzheimer's. I was interviewed for
the story and it includes info about my Grandmother's death. Here is the
article!
By the way, the Alzheimer's association called at 9AM Thursday morning and
said that they had had 5 calls before 8Am from people wanting these
bracelets! We are so happy to know that people are being saved just by
spreading the awareness. It's a start! Thank You Grandma!

What's
This Fool Thinking About This Week
By Dannion Brinkley

Hello Everybody,
Happy Springtime!
Since Secretary Thompson's recent release of the Presidential Executive
Order on Alternative and Complementary Medical Policy, I am busily at the
task of writing a letter of my personal recommendations to the President
of the United States. Over the past month I've been working hard at
Compassion In Action organizing policies and procedural guidelines. I've
also been fighting a lawsuit against organizations who feel our mission to
guarantee that 'no one need die alone' interferes with their mission that
a terminal patient has
the right to choose life or death (assisted suicide). I feel that we do
not interfere with them at all. I believe that Compassion In Action in no
way impedes their mission, they believe we do.
And by the way, if you are into cosmonology, boxes 4 and 5 from my book,
Saved By The Light, are happening as you read this. Check it out! After
reading it, I sincerely hope you realize that the world around it is
changing...forever. With all the sabers rattling, we must open our hearts
to act now, out of love, and not out of fear.
In the midst of this, I received this very special e-mail. I wanted to
share it with you, and in turn I hope you will pass it on.
With love and purpose,
Dannion

9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

and Visitors that Influence Your life from Beyond the Physical World. Have you
ever asked yourself, who and where was I before I was born? And, where do I go
when I Die.... Find out by attending one of Robert Perala's DIVINE ARCHITECT
TOUR EVENTS!
When you sense your own divinity, you feel many
things, especially your true nature and the creator God. You are a
particular point of the Creator itself. You and the Creator are one
and the same. To think that you are in any way separate is only an
illusion that you agree to hold, backed up by the misinformation handed down
to you by those who thought they knew life's universal truths. What
you deliberately agreed to forget at birth was the intimate knowledge that
you and God are one together.
Hopefully, by the time you've
finished the book, you too will see, as do I that life is a wonderful
learning experience. "Death" is just another opportunity to excel and
grow - a true cause for celebration ---Dannion Brinkley

Warrior Work Week 9
Principle 9: Do nothing which is of no use.
Everything we do moves us forward toward one goal or another
even if we are not conscious of it. When our thoughts, words
and actions become focused like an arrow on our goals and we
feel good about it in every cell in our being then our
intent is pure and clear. This warrior principle challenges
us to be mindful of our thoughts, words and actions and what
we are becoming and creating within us and around us. Ghandi
said, “ be the change you want to see in the world”.
Balance is an important part of this principle. If you work
to hard and too much you break down; if you go out and have
too much pleasure and fun you become soft and weak. This
week, be mindful before you choose to do things of the goal
that motivates you towards your choice of this or that
action. “Do I go to the gym or do I go to dinner or can I do
both?” which path will make you lighter mentally,
emotionally and physically? Which path will make you heavier
mentally, emotionally and physically? Do I go to the bar and
socialize or do I stay and read, stretch or watch something
that makes me feel good or educates me about something I am
interested in? Choices, choices, choices…………do nothing which
is of no use!

Getting Motivated
By, Carrie Shubert
The last couple months of 2001 were
about completion. Many people were restless and anxious to
complete their ongoing projects, or hurrying to ‘get where they
were going.’ Now that the New Year is here, the energy seems to
be sluggish. If you are feeling completely unmotivated and
apathetic but have incomplete projects, I recommend a few tips
to keep you on target. Staying in action is important.
1)
Take a walk in the
morning and enjoy the scenery. It will get your energy flowing.
2)
Think about a
particular goal you are working on and picture yourself having
achieved it.
3)
Think of something you
can do that day to get you closer to completion.
4)
Take one action
everyday toward that goal i.e. making a call, sending out a
letter, or gathering information.
If you don’t have the time to make
these a daily ritual, make the time to do them a few times a
week.
In January I completed a book and am
planning to self-publish. I have found myself procrastinating.
I have to design my cover and get pricing to print my book.
Whatever the blocks, if I practice the tips stated above, I will
have a published book in no time.
Motivation is something that comes from the inside.
Create self- excitement rather than waiting to feel in the mood.

Hidden
Miracles
by Mary Ellen "Angel Scribe" in Oregon
http://www.angelscribe.com
Last Sunday was Easter Sunday, a perfect day for a miracle.
This miracle is amazing, because it demonstrates that when we are patient
and wait -- somehow God/ The Angels will find a way to speak to us and it is
usually heralded in on Divine Timing.
Nearly a quarter of a century ago we bought a bedside table from a friend in
Canada.
In the following years we moved it four times with us.
Last week, at a garage sale, I bought a new end table.
On Easter Sunday my hubby transferred the contents from his old bedside
stand to the garage-sale end table.
When he lifted the old bed stand the drawer mysteriously slid out.
I saw a startled look in his eyes, and was puzzled myself as the stand was
not tilted enough to slide the drawer out.
It appeared that someone pulled it out!
When the drawer fell completely out my hubby reached into the empty cavity,
and found a faded green newsletter "hiding" unbeknownst to us and the
previous owners.
This was on Easter Sunday.
I gasped!!!
Not much of a miracle you may say, but let me tell you what the newsletter
said;
HAPPY EASTER
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
April 1979
What a God-got-cha moment!
It is hard to express the wonder of this small and powerful experience.
If I had not bought the garage sale table, and we had not moved the old one
on Easter Sunday, then this story would not have the power to convince
us....MIRACLES HAPPEN.
Jenna Catherine
author of Conversing With the Future
. . .Visions of the Year 2020
takes a look at the future. Based on her time
travel forward, to that year, she reports some pretty way out stuff.
Is it just in her head, or will it be true
for you too?
Future Idea #2 -- IN THE
FUTURE WE WILL BE TELEPATHIC. This does not mean that verbal communication
will disappear, just that we will develop the ability to use our physical
bodies more to detect truth, which includes the subtle energy around and
within us. The way we know truth now is to memorize truths, then look for
evidence of what we already believe. Telepathy brings us more into the
moment and helps us connect to higher dimensions, focusing us more on love
and God.
Interestingly,
I ‘ve read two articles about autistic children who are telepathic. In one
case when the autistic child, Adrian Rocha, first started speaking – and she
does and can now – she spoke about spirituality. As she became more verbal,
she shared an incredible awareness (future idea #1), including past lives,
connections with spirit guides, and insight into the meaning of life, “Love
is the only truly important reason for our life to exist,” her mother
reports (Kristi Jorde, author of A Child of Eternity). She even told
her mother that she was real clear that autism was a way of teaching and
that she had chosen it. These are the kinds of awarenesses all of us
are in the process of developing now.
What I have
noticed, is that what I have seen later in 2020 -- a whole lot of telepathy
-- of course is beginning now. But I wouldn’t know “now” if I hadn’t seen
“later.” That is why knowing the future is so important. It changes how we
interpret the now. Believe me, the next be area for research will be
interpretation. Anyway, after seeing so much telepathy in the future, I
decided to write a guide to telepathy, now in my book. Maybe you’ll see
your own roots for being telepathic now. Perhaps you’ll recognize that the
voices in your head are not yours. Perhaps you’ll look at your own world
entirely differently. Perception is at the heart of all change.

ANGELSPEAKE
By Barbara Mark & Trudy Griswold
Wish You Might
Remember when you were young and when you saw the first star of the
evening you would say, "I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I
wish tonight." With childlike assurance, you KNEW your wish
would come true. After all, you had wished upon a star.
The Angels Speak
Nothing much has changed from your childhood days of wishing.
Today we want you to remember the faith of those wishes and to put to
use the power of a wish in the NOW!
A wish is a way of ASKING for what you need or desire to have happen
in your life. A child wishes. An adult asks or supplicates or
prays. But for this writing, we ask you that you go back to a
childlike wonder of wishing. Remember the power behind your wish?
Remember the clarity you had as you said those magical words?
Remember the conviction with which you spoke? Remember the magic
of the moment as day softly turned to night? You have just
manifested a wonderful memory of your childhood into your present. You
have accessed the Power of Wishing.
· INTENT - When you have a desire or need, state it clearly. Be
certain of what you are asking for. Yes, be specific.
· CLARITY - Be as clear as you possibly can at the moment of your
wishing. Use every one of you senses to enhance the reality of
your wish. Use your eyes to see it. Use your touch, taste,
and smell to feel its genuineness. Use your inner vision to feel it
coming to you as a truth. Literally breath in its presence in
your life.
· CONVICTION - Know, know, know that your wish has come true.
Not in the future, but NOW. The moment your wish is made, all
the power of the universe has focused on it and has gone to work on
bringing it to you. Do not doubt. Do not fear. Be
certain it is happening.
· POWER - When you ask with the power of your entire being and trust,
you have gained access to the Law of Manifestation. You have
begun to use one of the Laws of the Universe and it cannot be denied
you. Give it power by believing it.
Right now, stop and Make a Wish. If you like, say the magic
words of childhood, "I wish I may, I wish I might…… State your wish
with intent, clarity, conviction, and power. Believe in your
wish with all your might.
Now access the Law of Letting Go. Forget it. Let it
Happen. Don't worry, fret or doubt. Be at peace with your
wish. Let us handle it. It is done. Your wish has been
sent. Let us deliver it to God.
Then, you say, why doesn't it always work?
1. You cannot make a wish for other people. You don't know what
is good for them. You can, however, wish for good things and
help to come to them.
2. You cannot receive anything that will bring harm. You don't
always know what that is. God does.
3. You cannot be aligned with evil when you have asked for divine
beings to go to work for you.
4. You cannot be taken away from your life purpose.
Ninety-nine per cent of what one wishes for will be help for daily
tasks, some sort of abundance, for peace of mind, or for love or
health. All of these are fair to manifest or wish for. All
of these are the type of things that we can help you with. These
are perfect examples of what you are able to have intent, clarity,
conviction, and power about. These are the things we can help
you with.
When you wish or manifest, it is as though you are the lamp and we are
the power source. When you plug into our power in the correct
way with the correct parts in place, your light will shine purely and
truly and clearly.
Any deviation from this Law of Lighting Lamps and it will not happen.
The power happens when all of it comes together. You never doubt
The Law of Lighting Lamps because you have used it thousands and
thousands of times. If the light fails, you know that one of the
parts has not activated. It is the same with wishing.
Wishing/Asking always works when the parts are in place. Do not
doubt this because that is an impediment to the Law of Manifestation.
Just do it. Then do it again. Over, and over, and over.
Wish as many times as there are stars in heaven. Wish on the
second, third and forth stars which shine at night. Who says the
first star is the only one with the Power of Wishing behind it?
Certainly not us.
Faith Builder. Make a wish with intent, clarity, conviction, and
power. Then forget it.

Notes and Thoughts By
W. G. Black Ph.D. - Founder and Director of
Gakati'yi
"May the
Wind Always Be to Your Back, Cathy Black"
Overwhelming feelings of love flow as
I write 'Notes & Thoughts' for the powerful month of April. My last
writing celebrated my daughter's 42nd birthday, and that was a very
rewarding experience. Very soon she informed me that she and Keith Spear
of Santa Cruz, California, had decided to "move up their wedding date" to
March 30th. It's Friday, the 29th, as I write this one, so I'm filled
with positive, great anticipations and a plethora of thoughts and
feelings. Keith and Cathy will have expressed their feelings for Self and
Other and their agreements by the time this article is available
for sharing. Being with them and being in their presence stimulates
experiences of love, peace, joy and happiness. Their basic agreement
seems to be that of sharing the process of growth, to grow together rather
than, as some do, finding enlightenment by living in a cave for many
years. So far as I know both paths are of equal value and lead to the
same 'destination.' I've just experienced the great honor of being in the
presence of Bordor Tukul Rinpoche of Woodstock, New York. I requested a
blessing of him for Keith and Cathy, and he graciously and lovingly
granted it. A Course in Miracles does say, "No one is healed
alone." Also, "Relationships are the healing temple of the Holy Spirit."
Regular readers of this column know of
my love for Gestalt therapy which began in 1968 in San Francisco, by the
way, right where Keith and Cathy expressed their commitments. I met Dr.
Jim Simkin and Ann Simkin in Austin in 1970. I have remembered vividly
one of Jim's truisms about marriage from Gestalt therapy. "Most marriages
start with two strikes against them. The wedding music often includes
"Oh, Promise Me," and, "Because." Baba Ram Dass published Be Here Now
during that same time period. The ego is forever attempting to diminish
or even destroy love in the Great Now by generating, perpetuating and
escalating fears based on the past or projecting a negative future. Fritz
Perls mastered the art of working with what he called "catastrophic
expectations." I've never known whether he created the idea or acquired
it from someone else. In very oversimplified form this translates as
"Terrible things have happened in the past. Worse things are probably
going to happen in the future. Therefore, take no risks, make no changes,
withhold all positives, especially love, and everyone will be safe and not
ever get hurt again." To quote A Course in Miracles again, "The
ego is insane," and, "This is an insane world." As we all know so well
by now, the method of catastrophic expectations is being used "en masse"
to manipulate and control us now. The Oklahoma City bombing and the 9/11
Tower demolishing are held before us constantly as the rationale for
giving up our personal freedoms and autonomies. One remedy for all of
this is always available. We can ask, "What are the positive REALities which
are present right now in THIS Great Now?" What we focus on expands.
Expand not catastrophic expectations by focusing upon them.
Keith and Cathy are leading us and
guiding us in this positive direction. They have overcome all the
negative histories of relationships. They are taking the risks involved
in Being Here Now. No past hurts had the power to squelch the expression
of their truth and love. Being present in each new "now" is enough for
them. No promises of unrealistic, idealistic, egotistical loyalty are
required. They have done their "homework" within Self, and now they can
create a "home" where the dear and the beloved play.
The month of March always takes us
through St. Patrick's Day and lots of Irish energy. For some reason I've
loved the Irish blessing which serves to close this blessing for Keith and
Cathy's relationship and infinite happiness. "May the wind always be to
your back, Cathy Black. May no hurt ever be greater than the healing
powers which will mend it. May all potential joy be realized, actualized
and expressed. May no harm ever befall you and yours. May the wind
always be to your back, Keith Spear and Cathy Black."
I love you beyond all possible verbal
ways to express it. May your relationship always teach that love is
stronger, greater and more enduring than illusion and fear.

Natural Dentistry
Fillings
The current way to stop tooth decay is by
removal of the decayed area and “filling” it with different materials. The
common way to fill teeth over the last fifty years has been to use a “silver
amalgam” fillings. Almost 50 percent of the amalgam contains the highly
toxic heavy metal, mercury. Mercury has been found in brain slices of
Alzheimer patients, as well as in patients with mental illnesses. A better
and more modern choice for fillings is ceramic, which may not produce the
toxic effects of heavy metal poisoning.
Commercial Toothpaste and Mouthwashes
Most commercial toothpastes contain
fluoride, a derivative of the deadly chemical, fluorine. A recent government
study of 156 cancer deaths over three years indicated that fluoride
accumulates in the body and may eventually cause cancer and other illnesses.
To prevent this, I recommend the natural toothpaste and mouthwash by The
Natural Dentist, listed below.
Inflamed Bleeding
Gums
Bleeding gums are often caused by a bacterial infection. In order to
stop this condition, take 3000-6000 mg. Vitamin C per day for one week or
longer, depending on the severity of the condition. Also take internally 100
mg./day of CoQ10. Combine this internal regime with a product called
Tooth and Gum Therapy Mouthwash by The Natural Dentist. Also use
Tooth and Gum Therapy Toothpaste by The Natural Dentist. This toothpaste
and mouthwash contain goldenseal, which kills infection and stops bleeding,
as well as echinacea, which boosts the immune system. I have seen many cases
of periodontal surgery postponed or eliminated by using this combination.
Use Stim-u-dent wooden toothpicks to massage between the gums after meals to
prevent gum disease.
Toothache Pain
The essential oil Clove Oil can be rubbed on toothache pain for
immediate relief.
Temporomandibular
Joint Pain (TMJ Syndrome)
Approximately 10 million American adults suffer from a condition called
temporomandibular joint syndrome. In this condition, pain is felt on either
side of the jaw, where the temporal bone joins the jawbone or mandible. This
painful affliction causes pain in the muscles and jaw that sometimes
radiates to the face and neck. There may be cramping or difficulty opening
the mouth all the way or clicking and grinding may occur during movement of
the joint.
Underlying causes are stress, grinding of
teeth, and poor posture…sometimes caused by cradling the telephone with the
shoulder. The following nutritional supplements may be taken to aid the
condition: 2000 mg. of calcium and 1500 mg. magnesium taken in
divided doses throughout the day to produce a calming effect and sooth
muscular tension. Also 100 mg. Of B complex vitamins 3x/day to relieve
stress.
A dental assistant recently complained of
having to order a costly dental appliance to stop her TMJ. Instead, she
rubbed the flower essence Pine on the sore spot in front of her left
ear 1x/hr for 6 hours. By the end of the evening, her pain was completely
gone. The flower essence Holly likewise will remedy the pain if
rubbed topically in front of the right ear.
Before Dental
Procedures
If stress or anxiety accompanies dental procedures, the Bach flower
essence combination Rescue Remedy is recommended. 10 drops under the
tongue will calm down an anxious patient if the anxiety is mild.
Alternatively, Rescue Remedy Crème
can be rubbed into the wrists of stress-ridden patients
to calm them down before a procedure and can be very effective with children
undergoing adjustment of braces.
For more anxious patients, Kava Kava Root extract
can be taken to calm mild to moderate anxiety.

We
grow up experiencing that power is authority over others, not mastery
over ourselves. But in adulthood we come to know that authentic power is
not for controlling others. Real power is the ability to choose our
thoughts and feelings and thereby change our situations, relationships,
life or the world. Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of the bus and
changed the lives of many for the better because she changed her
thinking. We can never control what others think and do, but we can
always control our reaction to it.

The Power of Spiritual Thoughts |
 |
|
Real
power is the awareness that no person or situation has power over our
lives. We have everything we need right now to be a powerful man or
woman of God. The kind of power that leads people to control and
manipulate and force their will onto others stems from fear, not
personal or spiritual power.
Most
of our battles are won or lost in our mind. Thinking positively versus
negatively changes our perspective, personality, and priorities. Ralph
Waldo Emerson said: "Do you want to be a power in this world? Then be
yourself." Power lies in our identity. Being yourself means you identify
with the truth that you are a beautiful man or woman of God in whom He
is well pleased. We give our power away when we allow people or
situations to validate us. Once we know we are perfect just the way we
are at this very moment, no situation or person in the outer world can
validate us or have power over us.
Some
of us fear that if we claim our power, we will lose our relationships.
We are afraid if we move on and leave others behind, we will be left
alone in a state of hopelessness. The truth is, when we deny our power
because we are afraid to move beyond the crowd, we are not living up to
our potential. We are, in fact, living a lie. Rather, it is our
responsibility to lead by example and move beyond the crowd, if
necessary, helping the crowd do greater things. That was the commitment
Jesus made and lived daily. That is our work, too!

Let Go of the World To Receive God's Power |
 |

We give
our power away when we live in the past or when we play the role of the
victim. Nine chances out of ten, if we feel powerless, it is because we
have shifted our thoughts away from the present moment. Right now is the
only place we find power. If our thoughts drift into the past or future,
pull in the reins and come back to the now. That is our power! When we
feel powerless, we can say the following affirmations: I give no one the
power to make my life miserable; Nothing in this world can make my life
complete because I am already complete; I am one with Infinite Power.
Read A Maze of Grace for more powerful affirmations.
I
have found that power does not lie in manipulation but in cooperation
and gentle confrontation when necessary. If you are being abused or
bullied, you may need to remove yourself from a situation to regain your
power. Life is not always fair. But God is! In closing, Marianne
Williamson wrote recently in her daily inspirational email: "God's power
is the power to reverse all physical laws. By ourselves, of course, we
are without this power. Through His power within us, we are workers of
miracles and the seedlings of a transformed humanity." Have a powerful
month with God's guidance!

Seeking Spiritual Dreams That Changed Lives! |
 |
|
For the
past year I have been gathering information for a book I'm writing:
Spoken In Dreams: Divine Dreams That Changed Lives. I am still in need
of powerful, nocturnal dreams that made you take new action in waking
life. One that had the power to transform your waking life into a
greater life. And one that represents one of the twelve powers.
After
much consideration, I have decided to link these spiritual dreams with
the Twelve Powers: Faith, Imagination, Joy, Letting Go, Life, Love,
Order, Power, Strength, Understanding, Wisdom or Will. The mission of
this writing is to share how a dream led you to develop one of the
powers either in your life or someone else's life. I will be using the
dreams already sent to me, but I am in need of even more dreams that
characterize the powers.
Please email me with your dreams. If you are not sure which power is the
focus of your dream, I will help you with that. I look forward to
hearing about a spiritual dream that was life-changing for you. Thank
you. |

A
message from
The
voice of God
HEALTH AND TEMPERANCE
“If thou
wilt diligently harken to the voice of the LORD thy GOD, and wilt do that
which is right in HIS sight, and wilt give ear to HIS commandments, and keep
all HIS statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I
have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” (Ex.
15:26)
As an integral member of LightStream Productions,
which promotes Health and Spirituality, it is in my view imperative that we
understand the relationship and importance of health and temperance in our
lives.
According to our
reference text, Exodus 15:26, GOD HIMSELF tells us that if we listen to HIS
VOICE, do what is right in HIS sight, give ear to HIS commandments, and keep
all of HIS statutes, HE will not allow any diseases to come upon us, “For I
am the LORD that healeth thee.”
Paul further explains
in 1 Corinthians 6:20 that the health of our body should be preserved, “For
ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify GOD in your body, and
in your Spirit, which are GOD’S.” Prior to that he says, in verse 19, “What?
Know ye not that your body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT which is
in you, which ye have of GOD, and ye are not your own?”
“If any man defile the
temple of GOD, him shall GOD destroy; for the temple of GOD is HOLY, which
temple ye are.” (1 Corinthians 3:17) Therefore, temperance is proper and in
order if we are to maintain good health in our body, or the temple.
Temperance I might note, means habitual moderation and control in the
indulgence of the appetites and passions; or in other words, self control.
“Temperance puts wood on the fire, meal in the barrel, flour in the tub,
money in the purse, credit in the country, contentment in the house, clothes
on the back, and vigor in the body," according to Benjamin Franklin.
The Apostle Peter, in 1
Peter 1:5-7, says, “Add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and
to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience
godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness
charity.” Note that, temperance is rightly placed here as to order.
Knowledge is a prerequisite to temperance, and temperance to patience. It is
very difficult for an intemperate person to be patient. Paul further tells
us in Ephesians 5:18. “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be
filled with the spirit.” The danger in the indulgence of stimulating foods
and drinks is that they create an unnatural appetite and thirst, thus
leading to excess. Both food and drink should be nourishing and
non-stimulating.
All intoxicating drinks
are deceptive. They seem to give strength, but in reality cause weakness;
they seem to create heat, but in fact lower the general temperature; they
seem to impart vitality, but really destroy life; they seem to promote
happiness, but cause the greatest unhappiness and misery. To intemperance
may be attributed much of the world’s sorrow.
Alcohol tends to
destroy the higher forms of cells, those directly concerned with the vital
processes, particularly the delicate brain-cells, and to replace them with
useless and harmful connective tissue, or what is commonly known as scar
tissue. Reliable statistics demonstrate that the total abstainer has an
advantage of at least twenty-one per cent over the moderate drinker.
Tobacco using is
demoralizing in its general effects, and tends to create an appetite for
strong drink. It originated with the natives of North America, the Indians.
In November, 1492, when Columbus discovered the island of Cuba, he sent two
sailors to explore it, who, when they returned, reported, among many other
strange and curious discoveries, that the natives carried with them lighted
firebrands, and puffed smoke from their mouths and noses, which they
supposed to be the way the savages had of perfuming themselves. They
afterward declared that they “saw the naked savages twist large leaves
together, and smoke like devils.” Originating with the wild barbarians of
America, the smoking habit, after some years, was introduced into Europe,
and was rapidly adopted, not only by the lower classes, but by those in high
authority, even princes and nobles participating in the new intoxication. It
has since become well-nigh universal.
“Tobacco slows up
reflexes, lowers morale; any advertisement that says smoking helps an
athlete is a falsehood and a fraud.”—Knute Rockne.
“Cigarette smoking
stupefies the brain, saps vitality, undermines health, and weakens moral
fiber. No one who hopes to be successful in any line can afford to contract
so detrimental a habit.”—Ty Cobb
Intemperance often
begins in the home. Many who would not think of placing on their tables wine
or liquor of any kind will load them with food that creates a thirst for
strong drink, ---with strong tea and coffee, injurious condiments, rich
pastry, highly seasoned foods, and the like.
“I beseech you…that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto GOD.”
(Romans 12:1).
“Whether therefore ye
eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.” (1
Corinthians 10:31).
THINK ABOUT IT!!!!
