The Power Of Prayer
There was a time when the idea of ‘conventional prayer’ was a turn off. Usually my prayers were, “God, help me get out of this mess.” As I grew into adulthood, I took seminars that were based on the power of positive thinking and visualization. Somewhere along the line, I thought I could throw a yoke around God’s neck and get him to give me all the ‘stuff’ I visualized and wrote down on my goal sheets. Wasn’t he working for me? For years I received all the material things on my list, but not the items requesting changes in my husband and children. I began to get frustrated. Things seemed to go downhill. I soon was going through a divorce with three small children. Life began to get very tough. I was being given a message. I was being shown who was really in charge and it wasn’t me! Feeling completely out of control in my life, I had to believe something was directing my life. I began my first prayer not really sure how to do it or if it would work, so I faked it. I asked God to please remove my emotional discomfort, and to help me feel peaceful inside. Something did shift! I actually felt lighter inside. Every morning I would ask God to guide me through my day, and at night thank him for getting me through the day. Immediately I felt a connection to a power greater than myself. I continue to make prayer part of my daily ritual. It keeps me calm. Listing all the things in my life I’m grateful for helps me focus on all the blessings in my life rather than the turmoil.

In Memoriam: Tributes to Dr. Byron Gentry
Sometimes the quietest persons are the most powerful. Two
very powerful and important mentors in my life are Stacey D.
Mills, my rolfer and personal teacher of many things, and
Byron Gentry, D.C. It is possible and even likely that you
have never "heard of them." These two people have lived two
of the most wonderful lives of which I have personal
knowledge. Stacey Mills died at age 83, four years ago on
January 19. Dr. Byron Gentry died on December 27, 2001 at
age 88. Paradoxically, I received the news of his passing
on January 19, 2002, the fourth anniversary of Stacey's
death.
Stacey Mills and Dr. Byron Gentry were among the first
persons who were trained by
Ida P. Rolf after she herself had experienced and learned
what the techniques were and how they could benefit the
human race. Dr. Gentry was an excellent chiropractor when
he met Ida Rolf. He "added the training" to his existing
skills. He retained the practice of chiropractic as his
"primary base," but it was easy to discern that his
experiences with Ida Rolf influenced his daily methods of
helping people. I was told that Ida's respect and
friendship with Dr. Gentry were such that he was one of the
few persons she trusted with certain problems and creative
developments as her ideas unfolded. The legend is that she
would call him "in the middle of the night," to explore
questions, ideas and new ways of improving the movement
which became known as "rolfing." [The story goes that Ida
genuinely objected to having the work named after her...but,
the "will of the people prevailed," and the rest is the
history that you know. She wanted it to be known as
structural integration and to be accepted and respected by
the medical profession, something like physical therapy has
been done. 'Fate' had a different plan.]
My relationship with Dr. Gentry evolved through my own needs
to keep my body tuned and aligned as I handled the stress of
a busy private practice of my own in Oklahoma City with long
hours and insufficient 'breaks.' I also knew many
persons who needed referring to a person like him, and that
I did with great peace of mind. To many in Oklahoma
City and around the world, he was the "saver of their
lives." He had the capacity to help so many, including
at times some of the incurables. His hands and strong
arms were an extension of the Healing Powers of Heaven.
His skill was remarkable at the physical level. He
knew endless information about nutrition, and he had a very
optimistic/realistic psychological make up and approach to
life. All of these things combined made him a healer
of the highest order. He helped everyone assume as much
responsibility for their own health as he could, and at
times he went much further than many can or will to even
offer temporary rescues until the patient's own resources
and responsibility could "kick in," and they would be on
their own again.
As if all of this is not enough, he was also a "medical
intuitive." He was able to diagnose a person's condition by
phone, local or long distance, and I do not know of any
mistakes ever made. He was also capable of sending healing
by phone as well as distance healing through "etheric
transmission." There is a legendary story that he helped a
horse by long distance phone a short time before a race was
to begin. The story says that the horse ran and completed
the race. I do not know whether the horse won that one.
Stacey Mills had a practice of visiting Oklahoma City and
Dallas once a year. She would stay in each city for
one month and do her work with people. Stacey and Dr.
Gentry were the best of friends. One of my very
pleasant memories happened on a Thursday afternoon in his
office in Oklahoma City. They exchanged sessions with
each other. Mary Gentry, his remarkable wife and a
story in her own right, and I, were invited to observe that
day. What a joyful, fun time together, and what an
honor to observe these two masters at work..."on each
other." I treasure that afternoon to this good day.
Sometimes I feel that I may be the most fortunate person I
know...because I had these two persons for mentors and
friends. In January of 1989 I was told, "W.G., Stacey Mills
added years to your life through her work with you."
Indeed, she did. And so did Dr. Byron Gentry. He was so
unique and unusual and so compassionate, it's impossible to
put it all into words. Eighty-eight years is a much longer
LIFE than most people live. especially with the activity and
quality which Byron always expressed. We miss the physical
presences of Stacy Mills and Dr. Byron Gentry. How enriched
we are that they lived and shared went through their own
pain in their own way. Ida Rolf helped them to transform
their pain rather than die of it or to become destructive
because of it. Today we give tribute to them and rededicate
ourselves to the goals, values and practices in life which
made them so enriching to us and everyone connected to
them. Wherever you are, Byron, peace be with you and
whatever rest you may need or want.
I had about 40 rolfings with Stacey, and I do not know how
to guess how many sessions I had with Dr. Gentry. I know I
am a wealthy person for having known them and for having
benefited infinitely from their skills and effervescent
souls. They had children and students, and through them the
processes of healing will continue.
It's time for feedback and sharing. Email your stories, your experiences. Share how the choice for love made a difference for you, another and our planet's evolution. gakatiyi@hotmail.com

Hill - Author of: Presents Warrior Work Week 7Principle 7: Perceive those things which cannot be seen The three arts of the warrior are intent, perception and behavior. Often people mask their intent through actions or behaviors that can be perceived as “nice” or “thoughtful” but in reality are techniques of disinformation that are meant to placate, to deceive or keep you away from their real agendas and intent. How do you learn to perceive these things that you cannot see? First you must work on being empty, being detached enough to not be pulled by your desires or pushed by your fears. After that you can look with clarity at what you can see, their techniques on both verbal and physical levels and then you can start to work on perceiving their intent which cannot be seen directly. Learning to look into other’s hearts and perceiving their motivations and then seeing how it manifests into the world through what they create with their actions and words is an integrative ongoing process. Learning to perceive those things which cannot be seen might also be called “mastering the heart”. This week instead of looking at what is easily seen, work on perceiving the intent and motivations of those around you and how it may shift from situation to situation. Look into their hearts as well as your own and perceive what you are creating energetically. What can be seen, the form of the world and those around us can be deceiving.

Donna will provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on better health! By Donna McGrath, M.T. (ASCP), M.S., C.H.T., D.D. Healthful HintsDonna McGrathNatural Cholesterol-Lowering AgentsHigh blood cholesterol levels have been implicated as the primary cause of heart disease. Since February is the month of the heart, below are a few natural cholesterol-lowering agents, which might be tried before a strong pharmaceutical regimen with toxic side effects to the liver is begun. I have seen the following products work wonders in elderly people who do not/cannot exercise and do not/cannot adhere to a strict low fat, high fiber diet. Understanding Cholesterol Cholesterol is a crystalline substance consisting of fats, which is produced primarily by the liver for proper functioning of the cells to build cellular membranes. It is also used by the body to build sex hormones and aids in digestion. This natural cholesterol travels through the bloodstream to wherever it is needed. Excess cholesterol in the blood forms fatty deposits or plagues inside the arterial walls, which eventually clog the circulatory system leading to arteriosclerosis, heart disease or heart attacks. The National Cholesterol Education Program has “set” the normal safe total cholesterol level at 200 mg/dl. 200-230 mg/dl is borderline and a total cholesterol level above 240 is considered high. This number contains both LDL (low density lipoproteins) and HDL (high density lipoproteins). LDL’s are obtained through eating animal fats. The body cannot use this type of cholesterol, so it normally ends up clogging the arteries. This is labled as “bad” cholesterol. The HDL’s remove excess cholesterol from the bloodstream and tissues, which is why they are labled as “good”. The normal adult level of HDL is 45-60 mg/dl. Higher levels of HDL prevent heart disease. A low HDL level less than 30 mg/dl is risky. So, if your total cholesterol is 200 mg/dl, your HDL 80 and your LDL 120, then you are considered low risk for heart disease. Eating a diet low in animal fat and high in fiber will decrease your cholesterol. It has also been found that a diet high in sugar and alcohol will increase the cholesterol, so cutting down on sugar and alcohol consumption is recommended if you would like to decrease your overall cholesterol levels. Moderate exercise is also recommended. Guggulipid (Commiphora mukul)Gugulipid is an extract of the mukul myrrh tree standardized for guggulsterones. These gulgulipids have been found to exert lipid lowering and anti-inflammatory actions in humans and are found to produce no side effects. Two products, which I have seen significant results with are GuggulplusÔ by Enzymatic Therapy and Guggulmax Ô by Nature’s Herbs. When taken consistently for at least a month as directed they may be all that is needed to prevent a toxic course of pharmaceutical drugs. An 80 year-old man came into the health food store where I was working. He had a crumpled piece of paper in his hand. He showed me the lab results where he had decreased his cholesterol from 270 mg/dl to 199 mg/dl in one month of taking GuggulplusÔ by Enzymatic Therapy . He also informed me that he had not exercised or changed his diet at all. A great testimonial I would say! His doctor was quite amazed and elated as was the man. Chinese Red Yeast RiceChinese red rice yeast is a fermented food substance, which contains the pigment known as monascus from the “skin” of red malted rice. Monascus contains high levels of mevalonate, which has been found to decrease cholesterol and LDL levels. Mevalonate or mevalonic acid is the chemical basis for the drug, Mevacor, however, since it because it is synthesized, it produces side affects which could cause liver damage. In a random single blind study done by J. Wang and associates, in a study of 502 patients whose beginning cholesterol was at least 230 mg/dl and whose triglycerides were 200-400 mg/dl, the results indicated that when 600 mg of red rice yeast were taken 2 times per day for 4 weeks, their results were as follows: · Decreased Total Cholesterol by 17.1% · Decreased LDL 24.6% · Decreased Triglycerides by 19.8% · Increased HDL “good” cholesterol by 12.8% · Adverse side affects were rare Red rice yeast can be found in fine health food stores. A good quality product is Chinese Red Rice Yeast by Solaray. Please follow the directions on the bottle.

Angelspeake By Barbara Mark & Trudy Griswold Angels and Devils
There is a certain type of person who has a difficult time believing that angels could come to us with loving messages. Yet they have no problem at all believing that negative energies could. Sometimes, when a person is told that we write books on angels, their first words are, “How do you know it’s not the devil?” Our reply is simply that “We expect angels, we work with angelic energies, and that is what comes to us.” But we also think that this is a very good question for the angels.
Dearest Children of ALL faiths, Bless you dear ones for having the faith to believe in something. It seems strange to say, but if you are open enough to believe in what is NOT there, you can also believe in what IS there. Disbelief is the other side of belief. What does this mean? It means, as we have taught you before, that you are on a planet of polarity and that means that you work with the ALL. You will be aware of what is “good” and what is “not good.” They are both the same. In your awareness, if you did not have belief in one, you could not believe in the other. It takes both to choose your path. Many times when we sign our communications, we say The ALL. Now what does this mean? What encompasses the ALL? We say we are the ALL. We say you are the ALL. We say God is the ALL. But we also say the darkness is part of the ALL. So what is the ALL? The ALL is experience. That is all. It is what is seen and what is unseen. It is a collection of energies that touch every molecule of the universe. The ALL is what one molecule experiences as it touches another. Now if every molecule of the universe relates in some way to the others, how can you choose which ones good and which ones are bad? The truth is, you can’t, because there is no difference. Chemists and physicists talk about positive and negative charges and call them names such as protons and neutrons. Like magnets, these pieces of the universe contain the proper energies that will attract or repel. It is necessary to have both, or nothing would stick together or stay apart. What does this have to do with your question? It is all the same in everything, even in belief systems. Respect the belief of the one who doesn’t believe just as much as you respect the belief of the one who does. There have to be both views in order to have choice. So what is the opposite of God and His angels? Fear. If God is Love, fear is its counterpoint. God is Light (love). The contrast is Darkness (fear). Light says to love. Darkness says to hate. Light says to believe. Darkness says to doubt. If you want to call Light, God, and Darkness, Satan, that is just a process of naming things. Are you not comprised of both? So the next time someone says to you, “Are you sure you aren’t talking to the devil?” say “Yes, I am sure.” And that will be the truth. Why? Because you have chosen to talk to and believe in us. We reply because by speaking with us, you have already made your choice. Yet never forget that ALL is ALL and to leave out one molecule of the ALL is to leave every part out. Not a riddle, but a truth. The perfect answer to such a question as you have been asked is this, “Are you sure you aren’t talking to the angels?”

A message from The voice of God THE AMERICAN DREAM “IN SOME NOT TOO DISTANT TOMORROW, THE RADIANT STARS OF LOVE AND BROTHERHOOD WILL SHINE OVER OUR GREAT NATION WITH ALL THEIR SCINTILLATING BEAUTY.” Dr, Martin Luther King, Jr. In light of the fact that, as a nation, we have just completed the celebration of “the dream” and “the dreamer,” in the personage of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his famous “I Have A Dream” speech for America, I think that it is fitting that we as a nation live up to the true meaning of the message of “the dream” and “the dreamer.” As I reflect on the events of the tragedy in our country on September 11, 2001, and the way that we as a nation came together as one group, Americans, I have hope that the words that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke in his 1963 message at the March on Washington can indeed become true. For the first time since Operation Desert Storm, we were able to put aside our differences in this nation and realize that we are all in this country together. If one group suffers, then all of this country suffers. There is no way to divide the impact of problems that occur in this nation by ethnic groups, races, or colors. When the planes hit the twin towers in the city of New York, they were not aimed at a particular group or race. They were aimed at the crippling of America. That means that everyone who is a citizen of this country was the target of the terrorism of that day. As a result of the attack on America as a whole, then the entire nation came together as a whole group or as one. There has not been the show of patriotism in this country by all of its people as has existed since the tragedy of September, 11th. I have seen more flags displayed on persons, on cars, on homes, and businesses than I have ever seen in my lifetime. This helps me to understand that in spite of our differences, we can put them all aside for a common cause. If we can do this for a special occasion, then we can do this in general. As Dr. King said in his famous speech, “This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the south with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of a mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we shall be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day. And this will be the day. This will be the day when all of GOD’S CHILDREN will be able to sing with new meaning, ‘My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my father died, land of the pilgrim’s pride, from every mountain side, let freedom ring.’ AND IF AMERICA IS TO BE A GREAT NATION, THIS MUST BECOME TRUE.” Therefore, let us become the great nation that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed about, and I too continue to dream about because I know that it can become true! Think about it !!!! Universally Yours, Rev. Chris Lowe, Sr., DD
