Otis Brown is a national recording artist as well as a prolific
songwriter. His musical roots are buried in country music with a
soulful southern gospel influence. However, the tremendous
talents of Otis Brown knows no limits. He writes and performs
music for practically every category known, reaching from the early
days of Chuck Berry to golden days of Motown, from the beach music
from the 50"s and 60's on up to the top hits of the 90's.
He has performed in numerous shows with the likes of the late,
great Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, Laverne Baker, Jackie Wilson, Eddie
Cornelious, Roy Hamilton and Sonny Turner. Otis recorded with
the Original Drifters. He has performed on the East Coast from
Washington D.C. to Miami Florida. He also recorded a #1 single
in summer of 1983.
In 1996 Otis Brown answered "The Call" to tour Las Vegas.
He sang at several well known hotels which included The Monte Carlo,
Rio, Desert Inn, & New York, New York plus various other
casino's. He also performed for many private parties and
conventions. This was an experience he'll always remember.
Otis is very versatile entertainer & he has the ability to bring out
the best in people with his awesome performance.
Otis has also worked in the Huntington Beach Parade for the last
eight years & proudly holds the "John Phillip Souza Award". The
only other time this award has been presented was back in the 1930's.
