Dannion Brinkley is the Godparent
of the Year for the Good Knight
Campaign's international crime prevention outreach program (www.goodknight.org).
In support of his role as Godparent,
Dannion will hold two workshops each day on how alternative
health perspectives can be used in the area of crime prevention and the
importance of understanding the psychology of crime. "Inspiring the
youth of today will create the heroes of tomorrow.
We must help their spirit develop peacefully to create a peaceful
future society."
As part of its efforts to promote healthy life choices, the Good
Knight Kingdom is proud to announce the grand opening of the Good Knight Alternative Healing Center. In celebration of this opening, the Kingdom is hosting
Spiritfest 2001, a Festival of Fun and Frolic spread over two and a
half acres of medieval landscape. This
year's Spiritfest will be
honoring heroes in service to America - those men and women who have
served in the armed forces, in law enforcement, and fire/rescue arenas.
The Kingdom is currently bathed in flags representing various
military organizations. At Spiritfest,
visitors will be able to learn about the "hero within"
and how to inspire youth to become the "heroes of tomorrow."
Additionally, visitors will enjoy holistic vendors, musicians,
energy workers and spiritual healers. Sir Dannion Brinkley has agreed to
sign books and provide a select number of personal readings and moments of
inspiration
The Good Knight Kingdom
is a unique mythological, multi-cultural, alternative healing center. It
is the first alternative healing, spiritual center that combines the
healing practices of the ancient and modern worlds.
Whether it is the stress reduction of the sacred healing walks

A Gaian Ministry:
Embracing Earth & Spirit

Now more than ever, we are called back to a spirituality that is both personal
and terrestrial, ancient and immediate. For our sake, and the Earth’s sake, we
need to reclaim our connection to authentic self and wild nature, to sacred land
as well as ethereal Spirit.
And by seeking Spirit in ourselves, in the songs of the birds and the wind on our cheeks, in the living Earth of which we are a part— we don’t have far to
look! Such Gaian spirituality is thus both universal and experiential, primal
and contemporary. It honors the sacred Spirit embodied in us all, in the living
Earth and the limitless cosmos. In time we may come to honor the entire planet as our church, with every day a Sabbath, every expression of life
recognized for the miracle that it is. We begin to consciously acknowledge every
bite of food and every conscious breath as a purposeful communion with the inspirited whole. We are enlisted not as directors or shepherds, but as plain
participants in the liturgy of evolving creation.

“Gaia” was the Greek name for the Earth as living being, born out of Chaos.
The image is the balance to, not a replacement for the worshiping of a male-imaged God. The scientists Lynn Marguellis and James Lovelock seized
on this ancient metaphor to illustrate their premise that the Earth functions as
a living entity, a body of self-regulating systems dependent on the balanced interaction of all its constituent parts, the atmosphere its breath, the cleansing
forests its lungs: the “Gaia Hypothesis.” And long before the rise modern
religion, before the advent of technology, these were the principals we of every
race shared as “self-evident” and true:
1) However one knows God, that God exists within us, and within all of creation.
We are each an inseparable part of, a dancing cell of that living planet body. All parts of that
planet body are inspirited, with an intrinsic value and integrity of being worthy of our respect.
2) Our survival and well-being is utterly dependent on our practical and ritual
demonstrations of that respect.
3) We serve the inspirited whole as celebrants and sensors, as the nerve endings of the Gaian
body, conscious receptors channeling sensory input, communicating the anguish and jubilance of
aware lives.
4) As aware, conscious members of the planet body, we must act on our innate responsibilities,
our ability-to-respond.
Truly, we are not secular pilots of a dead Spaceship-Earth, nor have we been sentenced by God to a trial period on a disrupted Eden. We are blessed
participants in the dance of embodied spirit. Singers. Dreamers. Poets and praise givers. Our essential ministry is the one which inspires and invokes
awareness, reconnection, prayer and response. It offers everyone an opportunity for a Rite-of-Passage, opens up the door and invites us into
blissful sacred space. As from a birthing hut we rise, forever changed, re-formed into our original selves, revealed as responsible guardians of
miraculous life, agents of Godly/Gaian process, playmates and vehicles for omnipresent Spirit.
Without a doubt, the degradation of our mental and physical environs is largely a result of how we each perceive, and thus act upon the world around
us. For twenty years now I’ve inhabited a wildlife sanctuary in New Mexico’s
Gila mountains, opening to the lessons of the land, becoming sensitized to its
need and call. My books and articles are a direct result of this inspirited, instructive land, and my ever deepening relationship to it. Now with some able
assistance, we are hosting seekers for personal quests and wilderness
retreats, teaching Earthen Spirituality in what we’ve come to think of as a “Gaian Ministry.”
I still speak to universities full of people lost in their heads, talk to congregations and religious leaders about the practical results of the
cosmologies we teach, and help activist groups see how essential it is for them
to personally feel the inherently sacred nature of that which they would protect. And always, I ask everyone to remember their own childhood and
adult moments when the walls of certainty and fear collapsed, when all things appeared connected by luminous threads of pulsing energy. To remember
when, like St. Francis of Assisi or the enraptured John Muir, the Holy Spirit appeared to them in all things— and they knew all things through their love.
In a Gaian Ministry we plant our seeds, both in the heart and in the earth, and
regardless of the chances of fruit. The immediate results, as I’ve witnessed
again and again, are visions. And every aware minute, the glad recognition of
the miraculous.

Financial Swindle Exposed
Federal, state and local governments
have squirreled away trillions of dollars that, if used to pay for
official business, could wipe out Americans' tax burden overnight.

The South Carolina newspaper, The
Edgefield Advertiser, has taken up locally what The SPOTLIGHT first began
reporting nationally in 1998 on one of the greatest government financial
scandals that has been foisted on (and kept from) unsuspecting American
taxpayers. Local, state
and federal governments have been secretly stashing tens of trillions of
dollars in securities without informing the public. If governments
are forced to admit to this practice, legislators would be forced to
reform financial practices, wiping out American's tax burden overnight. R.E.
Sutherland, writing in The Edgefield Advertiser, reports: "Edgefield,
and the Edgefield School District have squirreled away a total of
$13,782,278 according to the most recent report dated June 30, 2000. "The
South Carolina treasurer's office, pursuant to Section 6-6-10 of the state
of South Carolina code of laws, established an investment trust fund in
May 1983. "The trust fund
is comprised of'... public monies in excess of current needs which are
under the custody of any county treasurer or the governing body of any
municipality, county, school district, regional council of government or
any other political subdivision of the State...' "In
layman's terms, legislators have allowed leaders to levy taxes which are
not directed toward public needs. Instead, they are locked away in
the Bank of New York. "Taxpayers
are robbed of money which they need for their own families. The
South Carolina bankers are not profiting from the legislators' choice of
banking. Why is there no protest? In
Aiken County, the following accounts are dated for the fiscal year 2000: "City
of Aiken [4983] - $19,422,588.00 Aiken
schools [25032] - $15,344,375.00 [25033]
- $14,793,323.00 [25034] -
$352,014.00 "When
comptrollers are asked about these accounts, first, they say the accounts
are like a checkbook where money is held until it is needed. However, it
is obvious that the accounts are growing. "Where
is the interest from these accounts used? Where is the money spent? "Second,
they claim that 'saving for a rainy day' is good, but it is not good when
county leaders 'save' our money, won't tell us about it, and use it
without explanation. "Walter
Burien is an expert on the investment issue and has been sounding the
alarm since June 1989. "Burien
says that this country is dealing with 'a multi-trillion dollar organized
syndicate run by the sharpest crackers on the face of the planet, who
spend billions and billions of dollars to make sure the public is looking
in right field as they conduct business, as usual, in left field.
And they have 100 percent cooperation in partnership with the syndicated
media to continue business as usual.' "Burien
also exposes the fact that composite government now holds over $60
trillion in liquid assets taken from the people of this land... It must be
made quite clear by the public that if the syndicated media... continues
its self-serving partnership in the nondisclosure, or the continued and
intentional confusion of disclosure, that their business as usual
existence will be in question through effective action by the people of
this country. It is time to put our lives, property and total
efforts on the line for clear and simple unified effective action.
To do otherwise at this point in time is to accept defeat and allow for
the inevitable continued financial rape of our parents, sons, daughters,
grandchildren and ourselves...' The
public must come to terms with the amount of money directed by the
criminal syndicate. The pension funds by the composite government
are standing at $28 trillion in return, a greater return than all taxation
in this country by both federal and all local governments which are about
$3.6 trillion. "All
congressional members and judges dip into the pension funds. They
have no reason to expose this problem, nor do they have reason to end the
syndicate's money-raising practices as they profit from it. "If
citizens refuse to fight this syndicate which has grown significantly over
the last 10 years, then the socialists in our government have won a very

The Butterfly
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared.
He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force
its body through that little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no
further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any
moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body,
which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a
swollen body and shriveled wings.
It never was able to fly.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the
restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get
through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the
butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it
achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives.
If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles,
it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for Strength........
And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........
And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........
And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........
And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........
And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........
And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........
I received everything I needed!
May God Bless you with unspeakable joy, not only in the world to come,
but in this world also.
May your path be bright and full of light everywhere you go.
May God tell darkness that it must flee at your command.
And, I pray your feet will never stumble out of God's plan.
May the desires of your heart come true, and may you experience Peace in everything you do.
May Goodness, Kindness, and Mercy come your way.
And, may you gain Wisdom and grow in the Lord everyday. |
