Sunday School Lessons


Dr. Chris Lowe Sr.

Born March 26, 1947, Rev. Dr. Chris Lowe Sr., was educated in the Richmond County public school system, graduating from Lucy C. Laney High in 1965. He began traveling around the world as a musician with such artists as Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Clarence Carter,  Percy Sledge, and others for approximately 10 years.  After leaving the music business, he entered Paine College graduating in 1979 with a major in religion and philosophy and a minor in psychology, Magma Cum Laude.  He then received a fellowship for graduate studies at Ohio State University in the doctoral program.  He received his doctorate in Divinity from Cenfield Christian College School of religion. in 1997.

 Dr. Lowe was licensed to preach in 1979 and ordained to the gospel ministry in 1981 at the Central African Baptist Church.  He has been teaching in the Richmond county public school system for 23 years, and taught at Lahairol Bible College.  In addition, is presently a graduate instructor in Christian Counseling and Dean of Specialized Studies and Operations at Cenfield Christian College.

 Rev. Dr. Lowe has now been called by the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world through the Voice of God Evangelistic Ministry, a community based program consisting of; prison ministry; youth ministry; convalescent care; men's fellowship and women's outreach.

 Dr. Lowe is presently serving as Sunday School Coordinator of the Parade of Quartets; and also broadcasts a study on the Sunday School lesson on WKZK radio (Augusta, Ga.) every Sunday morning from 8 - 8:30 a.m.
